Wintry green onion "7 Years" (welsh onion).
Mid-season variety (27-30 days period from the beginning of leaf regrowth to technical ripeness) of perennial onions. Differs in high winter and frost resistance.
In one place it grows well up to 5 years. The leaves are light green, very tender, up to 30 cm long, when harvested with a bulb, they do not coarsen for a long time. The taste is semi-sharp.
The value of the variety: high yield, excellent taste, long-term return of marketable green onions, high winter hardiness.
Agrotechnics: for the cultivation of onions, the most fertile areas are chosen.
The best predecessors are cucumber, tomatoes and legumes. With a perennial crop, the best time for sowing seeds is the end of April - the beginning of May; it can be sown in the summer (July-August).
It is sown in an ordinary way with a distance between rows of 20-30 cm, and between plants in a row 4-6 cm. The depth of seed placement is 1-2 cm.
After thinning, the density of standing should be 6-10 plants per 1 m2. Plant care consists of weeding, loosening, fertilizing and watering.
In one place it grows well for 4-5 years. Young leaves are cut at a height of 5-7 cm from the ground 3-4 times during the growing season.
After each cut, plantings are fed and watered.
