Malope (Mallowwort) "Beauty" - Malope trifida.
Lush bloom until the frost!
Annual, herbaceous plants of the Malvaeacea family with a powerful branched erect stem 100-120 cm high.
The flowers are large, pink, 8-10 cm in diameter, funnel-shaped, solitary, the corolla consists of 5 petals.
Blooms profusely, from July to frost (to prolong flowering, withered flowers are removed).
The lower leaves are 3-lobed, ovate, the upper leaves are rounded. The plant is light-loving, cold-resistant, undemanding to soil and moisture.
Seeds are sown in late April - early May in open ground, the seedlings are thinned out, leaving a distance of 30-40 cm between them.
A great plant for creating tall groups and vibrant mixborders. It is especially effective in plantings with fragrant tobacco and calendula.
Cut flowers retain their decorative effect for a long time.
