Comb-flower mix (Echinacea sp.).
* Echinacea is ideal for sunny flower beds and favors nutritious, well-cultivated, dry soils. Echinacea grows poorly on light sandy soils. It is advisable to add a small amount of lime to the soil.
Cut off the inflorescences after flowering. Remove the shoots, as they will bloom in a different color. Repot the plant every 3-4 years.
Echinacea grows well in Estonian conditions, but requires care and attention, as the plant is thermophilic.
In severe and especially snowless winters, plants can freeze out, and sometimes plants of the first year of life freeze in ordinary winters, therefore, especially in cold places, it is better to cover them with a dry leaf.
