An effective remedy for protecting apple and cherry trees from the Apple Ermine Moth - Hyponomeuta malinella.
Capturing butterflies with pheromone traps is very suitable for gardens where the use of insecticides is not recommended or applied to a minimum.
This method is safe for the environment, bees and warm-blooded animals. Valid for 4-6 weeks.
Operating principle.
A bait - a dispenser is placed in a trap with a sticky bottom. The dispenser contains a pheromone that continuously evaporates into the surrounding space and attracts the Apple Ermine Moth butterflies to the trap. Once trapped, butterflies reliably adhere to a special glue (odorless and without the addition of harmful substances).
Application.
It is recommended to hang pheromone traps in the garden with the beginning of flowering of fruit trees and use them during the entire growing season. The traps should be attached to horizontally located branches of the outer part of the crown of the tree so that they are protected from direct sunlight, at a height of 1.5-2 meters from the ground.
The required number of traps is determined at the rate of 1 trap per 1 fruit tree.
2-4 weeks after installing the trap, the dusty or insect-covered glue liner should be replaced with a new one.
4-6 weeks after installing the trap, it is recommended to replace the trap with a new one.

* The pheromone of the female Apple Ermine Moth does not attract beneficial insects into the trap, since different types of insects attract pheromones of different composition.
* Pheromones are approved for widespread use, they do not pollute the environment and are safe for humans and animals.

The package contains:
2 cardboard traps;
4 pheromone dispensers;
4 glue inserts;
4 fastening clasps.

Build the trap.
Bend the ends of the base of the trap up, remove the protective paper from the glue insert and place it in the trap with the glue up.
Place the pheromone capsule in the middle of the adhesive insert. Fasteners are inserted into special holes to make it easier to fix the trap on the branch.
The trap should be placed horizontally on the south or west side of the tree.
Store the replacement capsule in a cool place in a sealed container.
NB! The glue on the bottom is very sticky and won't wash off with water. You can use regular or white spirit to wash your hands.
