Ampel tomato "Pear drops".
The fruits are distinguished by excellent taste, for which small children are very fond of them.
This early ripe hybrid of ampelous tomato was created specifically for growing in low-volume crops (pots, flowerpots, balcony boxes or hanging pots).
The period from planting seedlings to ripening is 55 days. The plant forms a bush up to 25 cm high with hanging whips 40-45 cm long.
Fruits weighing 20-25 g: pear-shaped, as they ripen, the color changes from light green to bright yellow. The plant does not require formation and tying, lateral and axillary shoots are not removed.
Used for fresh consumption and whole-fruit preservation.
AGROTECHNICS.
Sow on seedlings in a moist, free from diseases and pests, loose, breathable substrate (coconut or peat). Sow superficially, sprinkling the crops with a layer of vermiculite, or close them up to a depth of 0.5-1 cm. The crops are sprayed and covered with glass. At a temperature of + 17 + 23 ° C, seedlings appear, as a rule, after 5-9 days.
After the emergence of seedlings, the glass is removed and they try to maintain the temperature balance within + 18 + 22 ° С, while the soil should be moistened, but not "overflowed".
After the appearance of the cotyledon leaves, they begin to gradually reduce the moisture content of the soil for the successful formation of the root system. Seedlings are kept in the light, avoiding direct sunlight. In case of a lack of lighting, additional illumination (40-60 W / m2) is used, which will prevent the seedlings from pulling out.
A week after the emergence of seedlings, the seedlings are fed with a solution of calcium nitrate (2.5 g / l).
After 1.5-2 weeks from germination, the seedlings dive, transplanting them one by one into a separate pot or pots with a diameter of 20-25 cm (volume 2.5-3 liters) or into an intermediate 10 cm pot.
In the future, caring for the plants consists in timely feeding and watering. Watering begins no earlier than a week after planting the plant in a permanent place.
Top dressing is carried out with full mineral fertilizer with microelements (N: K ratio - 1: 2), in the first 2 dressings 5 g of calcium nitrate are added to the base solution, alternating with 2 dressings with the addition of 5 g of magnesium sulfate.
Then, 5 g of potassium sulfate and superphosphate extract are added to each top dressing. Top dressing is carried out immediately after watering. Over time, the feeding rate is gradually increased.
